Help! I Hear Squirrels in the attic!
I wonder if they are fox Squirrels. They are twice as big as gray squirrels. Are they the kind of squirrels living in my attic?
No. Fox squirrels prefer to live in tree cavities in mature pine tree forests.
Could it be a family of white squirrels? No and they aren’t a separate breed. They are albinos belonging to one of the existing branches of the squirrel family tree.
Then it must be eastern gray squirrels. They adapt well to urban life – and houses with warm attics. Although they’re the designated state mammal of North Carolina, they’re still not welcome to live in my attic.
They’ve become rather snobby since being given that title back in 1969. The little critters probably think you’re lucky to have them as neighbors.
Lucky my foot. They’re noisy and will use my insulation as a toilet area. They’ll make a huge, unsanitary mess. They might even start a fire if they chew through the electrical wiring up there. I want them evicted and without giving a thirty-day notice.
But how can I get them out?
I don’t know any way to get them out. The smartest thing I can do is call in the professionals. They’ll know exactly how to send them on their way.
What if they come back?
They won’t be able to get in. After the squirrels are gone, the professionals clean and disinfect the attic. Then they seal all the holes the squirrels chewed to get in. They complete the job by blocking any possible entrances to the attic. They make sure we don’t hear the scattering of squirrels in the future. They’ll make certain no squirrels will be chewing our electric wiring and starting a fire. They’ll put up the no vacancy sign for all the squirrels to see.
After the professional pest control service is done, the only squirrels living on our property will be making nests in our trees instead of our attic.
Thanks to Animal Solutions, Inc. I’ll never again wake up in the middle of the night to the sound of squirrels in the attic of my Mint Hill, NC home.
